The Battle for Cedar Point is a Chrome extension game built around augmented reality fun at the park. Players choose one of five Coaster Alliances, monitor a live Battle Map, and challenge others with AR tasks, mini-games, and trivia.

Customize your avatar, level up as you play, and unlock new looks and abilities. Finish the day by seeing which Alliance is crowned champion, then jump back in for more competition and park-inspired excitement.

So this app looks cool, and I’m sure it’s fun, but you have to be in the park to do anything in it. Developers, please redesign this app to make it playable anytime, anywhere.

This is such a fun (and fair) app. It’s a free game that’s LIKE pay-to-play, only you don’t pay. Like every free game there’s “energy” you have to build up to play, but you can only get energy by answering trivia questions and confirming you have ridden a specific ride, which you can only do if you are in close proximity to the ride. This makes the gameplay fair to all users since people can’t pay their way to the top (unless you buy a fast pass in the park). The only downsides are that you have to be inside the park to play, and the game itself chews up cellphone battery due to a lot of augmented reality stuff. Still, this game is a lot of fun when waiting in line.
