User Reviews

Users praise Audio Game Hub for its diverse, arcade-style games and strong accessibility focus, especially for visually impaired players. However, recurring issues include the unreleased Runner game, persistent accessibility glitches, heavy ad presence with problematic subscriptions, signs of neglect through sparse updates, and several in-game bugs impacting scoring and progression.
Pros
  • Offers a wide variety of games in a single app, delivering substantial replay value.
  • Strong accessibility focus and appreciation from visually impaired players, with audio and screen-reader support.
  • Nostalgic arcade feel that appeals to retro-game fans.
  • Games are described as fun and addictive by many users.
Cons
  • Runner never released; 'coming soon' message persists across many reviews.
  • Ongoing accessibility issues with VoiceOver and screen readers—numbers misread, announcements missing, and navigation inconsistent.
  • Ads are too frequent and hamper gameplay; subscription flow and ad-free options are unreliable.
  • App appears neglected with infrequent updates, causing bugs and unanswered reviews.
  • Various game-specific bugs (score not awarded, tutorial freezes, end-screen hangs) that disrupt play.

I have been playing these games in this app for years. I must give credit where credit is due. There are not a lot of developers who make blind-friendly games. That said, there needs to be better maintenance and the devs should have someone doing a play-through before updates are released. Normally I would not use this forum to notify the developers of a problem, but my emails have been returned unanswered and Apple isn't responsible for for game-play issues. In the last major update, the way achievements were announced was changed. Apparently, no one tried playing "Blocks" before the update was released because it would have driven them crazy. Specifically, the '1000 blocks on the wall' achievement is loudly bellowed every time a block is moved. I used to really like this game. You cannot even hear the tones generated to determine where each block should be placed. I regularly play several other games in this app, but I would really like this game made playable and an updated email address to contact the developers when issues arise.

First, the numbers 13 through 19 in the games sometimes sound too close to 30 through 90; in other words, 13 sounds like 30, 14 sounds like 40, 15 sounds like 50, etc. That's a minor issue that needs to be addressed. Secondly, I can't play the Blocks game at all! It's not taking ANY of my swipes! I'm an iPhone 15 user running IOS 26.5. I could play Blocks all day back when I had my iPhone 8, but I can't do it on this iPhone 15 running IOS 26.5 because, like I said, I swipe, and I swipe, and I swipe swipe swipe swipe, but it's not taking ANY of my swipes in the game! PLEASE FIX THAT! Lastly, when is Runner supposed to be coming out? I keep hearing the voice say, "Runner, coming soon." Well, how soon is soon? I want to play it! Other than those suggestions, I LOVE your app! One of my favorite games is the Samurai Tournament! I'm gonna show that one to some friends of mine who are into Japanese animé films! (They're not Japanese, but they like those kind of films)! Anyway, I'm gonna challenge at least one of them to a Samurai Tournament duel against me!
