User Reviews

Users praise EVA’s potential and usefulness for Elite data when it runs, but reliability is the core issue. Recurrent login/auth errors and crashes, combined with a lack of maintenance and responsive support, make the paid app feel like a low-value purchase for most reviewers. A small subset notes that it functions well temporarily and offers a clean data view, but the consensus is that stability and ongoing support are needed for widespread adoption.
Pros
  • When it works, EVA provides up-to-date in-game data (commander info, standings, cash/debt) and serves as a helpful Elite companion.
  • Nice companion to Elite that adds convenient features when the app is functional.
  • Clear, easy-to-view presentation of standings and other information when the app runs.
  • Has a cool vibe and notable potential for future improvements.
Cons
  • Persistent login/authentication errors prevent use (examples include NSURLErrorDomain -1012 and Error 1012).
  • Frequent crashes and instability, including crashes on startup or after first use.
  • Lack of updates and poor developer support; hasn’t been updated in over a year and support tickets go unanswered."],[

Paid to get this app and I’m a little disappointed. Day 1 I was unable to download any of the systems maps etc; every time I attempted the app would crash. Now this morning I tried to open the app and it gives an error on attempt to log in. The vibe is cool, just wish it worked or there was more honesty about how much it didn’t work before paying for it.

It’d be a great app if I could actually get into it. Since I can’t, I can’t experience how great of an app it is, making it useless. I’ve used it before. Never had the issues I’m having now. Sure wish I could use this app…
