User Reviews

Overall, users praise Loops by CDub as a game changer for worship teams and live gigs, saving time and streamlining loop workflows. The app offers a large loop library and the option to add your own loops. However, recurring issues drag on the experience: subscription/login friction and price concerns; stability glitches and update-related crashes; import/sync problems with loops; and missing features that affect value (MIDI control, visible time signatures, queue timing). With continued maintenance, it’s a strong tool, but reliability and pricing remain key worries.
Pros
  • Game changer for rehearsals and live performances; widely used in church services and gigs.
  • Saves time and streamlines loop creation and management.
  • Large loop library with hundreds (to thousands) of loops to choose from.
  • Ability to add or import your own loops for customization.
  • Long-running tool trusted by users for years; continued development.
Cons
  • Recurring subscription/login friction and price concerns; frequent prompts to sign in or subscribe.
  • Stability issues including app freezes, glitches after updates, and unknown window errors.
  • Loop import/sync problems where loops don’t reliably appear and may require reinstallation.
  • Perceived value gaps and missing features for the price (e.g., MIDI control, visible time signatures, queue timing).

I like this app but I’m a quartet musicians at heart and there’s not a lot options when it comes to finding them “drives” with that quartet feel, I also think they could’ve done better with the snare sounds on them shout bumps, they sound like a country music type snares lol ijs other then that I love this app

I love using the app for the loops. I even enjoy the feature where I can add my own loops. However, there’s only 15 slots and the delete button doesn’t let you delete ones you don’t want anymore.

I absolutely love this app! Total game changer for any music ministry. However, I strongly dislike the update. First, this strange glitch occurs every single week I use it where I'll click on a loop and it opens up into another window and it just says “UNKNOWN” in caps and nothing works. No sound no nothing. I have to effectively exit the app and go back in to get it to play. This never happened before the update. Also it doesn't allow you to play the loops on the screen where you can actually see all of your other loops, it confines you in this new window because of some new features but you can't back out and search for a another click while you're playing one. It's just an unnecessary limitation. And finally it keeps kicking me every single week it's telling me to “subscribe” and I'm definitely subscribed lol but it keeps kicking me out. On a Sunday morning when I need to my playlist asap and the band is looking at me fiddling with my Phone because I had to log back in or exit the app and them scroll to find the right track. We knows as musicians 5 seconds of awkward silence feels like an eternity. To me this is not acceptable, esecpsilly at 20$ a month. Love the app but it needs another revision, it could be so much better!
