User Reviews

Users praise the app for its broad language selection and engaging learning approach, especially its speaking practice and native-speaker content. However, recurring stability bugs, feature bugs, monetization frustrations, and uneven vocabulary coverage are common drawbacks that peers hope will be addressed.
Pros
  • Extensive and diverse language catalog, including rare languages and Haitian Creole, with many courses taught by native speakers.
  • Engaging and fun learning experience with games, quizzes, and guided topics that support quick progress.
  • Strong speaking/pronunciation practice using native speakers and memory-based learning to aid retention.
  • Perceived value and affordability, with many users noting free access to features and good value for the price.
  • Generally easy to pick up basics and keep studying, suitable for busy learners.
Cons
  • Frequent crashes and stability problems across devices (iPad, Mac, iPhone) with the app sometimes freezing or crashing on launch.
  • Bugs affecting core features, such as inability to adjust pronunciation speed and audio playback issues, or unresponsive buttons.
  • Paid language packs and membership locking frustrate some users, including reports that purchases can disrupt the app and limit access.
  • Content gaps and uneven topic coverage, with requests to expand vocabulary and add more contextual phrases.

I'm very grateful to have an app that offer Ilocano. No app is perfect but having an extra resource to learn and practice my mother's native tongue is so amazing.
