User Reviews

Leap Day is praised for its hard, fair retro platforming, appealing visuals, and variety of characters, with addictive core gameplay and free-to-play access. However, multiple reviews cite bugs, crashes, and unstable mechanics; concerns about ads and monetization; repeated levels and a lack of new content; and occasional control issues. Overall, it delivers a rewarding retro challenge when functioning smoothly, but stability and monetization concerns are recurring drawbacks.
Pros
  • Challenging but fair difficulty with a mix of tough and accessible sections
  • Retro pixel-art visuals with neat animations and a nostalgic feel
  • Diverse characters with different abilities add variety to gameplay
  • Free-to-play accessibility without mandatory upfront cost
  • Engaging core platforming gameplay that long-time fans enjoy
Cons
  • Pervasive bugs and glitches, including crashes, softlocks, and unstable cannons
  • Ads and monetization concerns (long or repeated ads, VIP/subscription issues)
  • Repetition of levels with few new maps or updates over time
  • Occasional input/control responsiveness problems and inconsistent handling of mechanics

The problem is is that i cant get precise jumps because it is a autorunner and it would be nice if I could be able to stop and switch directions, worst game ever

This game is actually very challenging, but it’s very fair, and well designed some parts are easy some parts fell like absolute hell difficulty, there’s fun characters with different abilities good pixel art graphics, and neat animations, I’d say play this game your looking for challenging and never ends, GET THIS GAME, it’s free it’s fun and its an absolute joy to play, my only complaint is that it’s ads are sometimes: to long, won’t let you exit the ad until 10 seconds later after the ads over, plays the same ad in over and over in long durations etc, all say is nitrome, is your reading this (which I hope you are) please fix these issues with the ads, although one upside is that ads barely pop up at all, so I’d say this is a very fine game here. Edit: Sorry about the typos
