User Reviews

Win the White House is widely praised as an educational, addictive politics-themed sim that's great for classrooms and personal learning. Players enjoy the interactive campaign, the ability to influence issues, and the engaging gameplay that teaches how elections work. However, reviews commonly call for more content and modern updates: more issues and historical/third-party candidates, updated electoral maps, and updated device compatibility. Some players also note concerns about fairness or bias in the AI and that opponents are often portrayed as female, with calls for more diverse opponents. Overall, it’s educational and entertaining but needs updates and balance improvements.
Pros
  • Educational and informative about politics/elections.
  • Fun, engaging gameplay with solid mechanics.
  • Great for classroom use and kid-friendly learning.
  • Encourages understanding of campaign strategy and issues.
  • Perceived neutrality or fairness in core gameplay (though some reviewers report bias).
Cons
  • Perceived bias or unfairness; some players report the game is rigged toward a party.
  • Limited issues and candidate options; only 5 issues and a lack of third-party candidates.
  • AI opponents copy speeches or behave predictably; can feel unfair or repetitive.
  • Needs updates and has compatibility/content issues; outdated electoral maps and device support.
  • Lack of diversity in opponents (often female) and other realism concerns.

Hi!!! Whenever I’m at school and I finished all my assignments and work for the day I always go to iCivics/Win the White House due to how fun it is. Even if we have free time and we can go to games like bloomer or kahoot I still choose this. I love politics especially in this I know all the answers to the issues. I never done the democratic side but I do know everything in the republican side. I just have to see the issue and the sentence and I know it instantly. Thank you for this game. Just one concern though. I’ve been trying to sign into my school account but it never works.

I love this game it’s fun to play I just wish that our male characters could run against other males rather than running against a women only and a female character could run against another female that’s my only critique on the game

I think this is an incredible game, been playing since 2020 but I do have some suggestions that would make this game a whole lot better. When you pick your issues, I think you should be able to pick 7 issues along with the option of 2 issues from the opposing party. I have trouble picking my issues with only 5 options. I also think having more skins would be great. Maybe the game could get updated too, because I tried to play it on a new phone this year and it did not support the game. I don’t know if that was just the phone or not, but overall incredible game! I would have gave a 4 but I gave a 5 so maybe people could read this. And to the people reading if any, it’s not rigged for a certain party like many of these political games. Thanks for reading!
