We use this Basic Sports Timer for our Wing Tsun workouts. It's quick & easy to set up so you can focus on your training. This simple App can be used for any kind of interval training, HIIT sessions (including Tabata method), boxing, MMA, running, stretching etc.

INTERVAL TIMER: • Adjust duration of Workout & Pause and your are ready to go! • Just tap the screen to start / stop • Set number of rounds / Number of rounds are counted until you're done.

COUNTDOWN: • Adjust Workout duration and your are ready to go! • Just tap the screen to start / stop

BOX-DRILL: Fix duration - 3 Minutes

1.: Punch hard & consistent against a sandbag for 10 seconds - then take a break for 10 seconds.
2.: Punch hard & consistent against a sandbag for 20 seconds - then take a break for 20 seconds.
3.: Punch hard & consistent against a sandbag for 30 seconds - then take a break for 30 seconds.
4.: Punch hard & consistent against a sandbag for 20 seconds - then take a break for 20 seconds.
5.: Punch hard & consistent against a sandbag for 10 seconds - then take a break for 5 seconds.
6.: Punch hard & consistent against a sandbag for 5 seconds.

The app, for the most part, works well enough. I needed a nice, large timer. The biggest issue I have is changing colors. I set my colors and when I hit start on the stop watch, everything goes gray. I hit stop and all the colors I changed are back to the stock colors. I don't like the yellow. My favorite color is blue. So I'm very disappointed that it keeps changing back to that yellow.

Basic Sports Timer is very carefully thought out, elegantly designed, and is completely free of complicating crap. The display of time remaining is large and legible, and the starting and ending bells are tastefully chosen and crisp. If only all software were made with this much care, it would be a more beautiful world.
