User Reviews

Reviewers love Hunt Cook for its cute visuals, easy, offline-friendly gameplay, and rich content with outfits, recipes, and animals. It’s accessible and appeals to players averse to heavy monetization. However, it’s plagued by intrusive ads and various bugs (crashes, login issues), plus pacing that tightens hunting opportunities at higher levels. Players also want more content like new minigames and events. Overall it’s a charming, long-running title, but needs improvements in ads, stability, and endgame balance.
Pros
  • Cute, charming graphics with a kawaii aesthetic.
  • Simple, fun gameplay that’s easy to pick up and plays offline.
  • Rich, long-term content with outfits, recipes, traps, and many unlockable animals.
  • Non-pushy free-to-play feel; progression doesn’t rely heavily on microtransactions.
  • Nostalgic appeal and lasting interest; still enjoyable after years.
Cons
  • Intrusive and frequent ads disrupt gameplay and can cause audio interruptions.
  • Crashes on launch after updates and bugs with login rewards.
  • Pacing balance: hunting opportunities shrink at higher levels with long cooldowns.
  • Desire for more content and features (new minigames, events, cooking features, multi-hunt).
  • Occasional glitches or performance issues after updates.

I used to play this game years and years ago but never finished it, I recently picked it back up again and I still absolutely love it! I just really wish there were different minigames to do based off what you’re hunting, and there was a way to upgrade to get more hunting points. Another thing I think would be interesting is events where orders would just be a certain type of meat instead of random all the time. I really do think this game is super cute, even after all this time. It’s worth a play if you enjoy these types of things.
