Features & Capabilities

Curveball brings a 3D twist to classic Pong. You control a paddle to curve and direct the ball, with more curve as your paddle moves faster. It includes 10 single-player levels, a hard mode, and full online multiplayer, all in an ad-free Chrome experience.

Gems can be earned in single-player or through multiplayer wins and used to unlock up to five diverse paddles, each with its own design. The game is designed for casual, arcade-style fun with no ads interrupting the action, and credits art by Addison Jones and music by Shan Chagani.

User Reviews

Users love Curveball for its addictive, competitive gameplay and nostalgia for the desktop version, with strong replay value and solid multiplayer when it works. However, repeated complaints focus on mobile usability: the finger often blocks the view, and offset controls are desired. Additional concerns include a lack of recent updates, limited new content, and unreliable online matchmaking/Game Center behavior. Overall, it's a cherished title with standout fun, but UX quirks and development gaps limit its appeal for some.
Pros
  • Highly engaging, addictive gameplay that is competitive and easy to learn.
  • Nostalgia factor: classic PC game brought to iOS.
  • Solid multiplayer experience when available.
  • Strong replay value with hours of play and progression (gems, paddles).
Cons
  • Finger blocks the screen on mobile, making it hard to see the ball and paddle.
  • Need offset controls or joystick-style input to avoid finger obstruction.
  • Not updated in years / needs more levels and content.
  • Online multiplayer/Game Center setup can be flaky or unavailable.

I found a game like this on my school computer and LOVED it! So when I get home I decided to find it on my phone and I find this beauty of a game. This game is competitive, easy to learn, and takes a really long time to get boring! 10 outta 10 game.
