Features & Capabilities

Endpoint Central is a unified endpoint management and security app from ManageEngine, designed to help IT administrators manage enterprise devices from anywhere. It provides real-time visibility into endpoint status, agent connectivity, system health, compliance, and performance.

With the app, admins can deploy and monitor operating system and third-party application patches, review hardware and software inventory, manage licenses and warranties, and remotely troubleshoot devices. Secure remote controls support access, rebooting, locking, wiping, and file transfers. A dark theme improves usability during extended monitoring sessions. Endpoint Central is built for organizations seeking centralized endpoint management, faster remediation, and stronger security compliance.

User Reviews

Users express that the app is generally functional and capable for basic tasks, with praise for its potential. However, multiple reviews consistently flag missing mobile features (configurations, deployments, MDM), MSP compatibility uncertainties, and login/notification reliability. Performance concerns also surface for cloud deployments. Overall, the app is seen as useful but is hindered by feature gaps, authentication and notification reliability, and MSP clarity relative to the desktop experience.
Pros
  • Generally functional and performs well.
  • Mobile app offers core management tasks and data access (e.g., remote control, inventory, patches).
  • Positive sentiment from users who value the app's capabilities and potential.
Cons
  • Lack of configuration management, software deployment, and MDM features in the mobile app.
  • MSP version compatibility issues and unclear differences between MSP and non-MSP deployments.
  • Login/authentication problems, including credentials not saving and sign-in failures.
  • Push/in-app notification issues, including bugs and missing alert support.
  • Performance problems, such as slow loading on cloud versions.

My only wish is that you could create configurations outside of just patches, like software or environment variables. Also there’s a bug with Notifications where the menu item won’t show up in the app unless you tapped on an actual notification and only then do you have access to them. Considering there’s no apparent native support for configurations apart from patches, you can’t check on the status of a software deployment without firing up your browser.

It seems that the app is broken, and will not display any information after signing in.
