User Reviews
Pros
- Strong macro and micronutrient tracking (including fiber and minerals), especially for whole foods and homemade meals.
- User-friendly, streamlined interface with easy label-scanning and a large food database.
- Responsive customer support.
- Ability to create and log custom foods when an item isn’t found in the database.
Cons
- Frequent bugs and crashes (freezes, login/weight day glitches) that impact daily use.
- Inaccurate nutrition data when scanning or logging foods; macros can be incorrect or inconsistent.
- Pricing concerns (yearly subscription, essential features sometimes behind a paywall, not worth the cost for some users).
- Missing features and regressions after updates (no 'macros left' view, no weekly calories view, no water or workout logging, day-to-day data review limitations).
- Limited food database / few restaurants or big-brand items available.
Recent reviews
I’ve been using this app for probably 8 years, and I swear I will die if for some reason I can’t use it and have to switch to another. Other more “popular” apps are great for people who eat junk and thus want to scan labels of ultra processed foods and need detailed restaurant menu nutritional info at their fingertips. But those other apps really don’t do what I want. This app is a lot better for people who care about macros and other measurements like fiber and vitamins/minerals. It works a little better for cooking from scratch or eating whole foods and definitely is superior for tracking macro and micronutrients. And it’s streamlined-it’s not busy or obnoxious. They also have the best customer service and were very responsive the single time I have had a problem in the 8 years I’ve been using them.
