User Reviews

Users appreciate a large pool of names and a simple, collaborative concept for choosing names with a partner. However, repeated issues with partner syncing, invites, and reliability undermine the experience. Some reviewers note duplicates or unusual names and miss helpful data like name meanings. Paid expansions are also viewed skeptically when they don’t deliver results. Overall, the idea has promise, but reliability, data quality, and expansion value need improvement.
Pros
  • Large pool/variety of names (tons of names, not just a few).
  • Fun, collaborative experience for exploring names with a partner.
  • Simple concept that delivers results and can help you find names you hadn’t considered.
  • Can reveal unexpected name options you might not find elsewhere.
Cons
  • Partner connection/invitation and syncing issues (invites not delivered, accounts not linking, inconsistent matches).
  • Reliability and bugs (incomplete/beta-like experience, loading failures, missing matches).
  • Name quality concerns (duplicates, odd or unappealing options, inconsistent curation).
  • Missing name meanings/origins on name cards (desirable educational data).
  • Paid expansions often provide few or no names / are perceived as overpriced.
Recent reviews
This is the only app that looks 21st century, kind of. But it has random upgrades for 99 cent that people don’t need. A lot of people say the names are uninteresting and super unusual to choose. That’s why a lot are switching to NameHatch and finding the perfect name in days not months.

Not enough name choices. Also when I add a name it never asked my partner if they liked it.

Inviting your partner does nothing. Doesn’t connect your accounts or even seem like it attempts too. Wouldn’t recommend.
