User Reviews

The app is praised for its compact form factor and useful FX/EQ/Compression with clean outputs, making it suitable for solo gigs. Recurrent downsides include missing gain control and pan features, plus unstable Bluetooth connectivity and limited routing options. Overall value and simplicity are strong, but more demanding users may want greater control and reliability.
Pros
  • Very portable, compact form factor that is easy to use on solo gigs.
  • Built-in FX, EQ, and compression provide useful processing on a small mixer.
  • Clean outputs with good preamp headroom for line-level signals.
  • User-friendly and quick to set up for straightforward routing to aux.
Cons
  • Lacks gain control / gain knobs in the app.
  • No channel pan control; missing pan and limited stereo positioning.
  • Frequent Bluetooth/hardware connection issues requiring reinitialization.
  • Limited patching and routing options (e.g., limited input routing, no RCA).

I use this on solo gig. I sometimes need a few more inputs and it’s easy to use a bun mixer into the aux in. My only complaints are 1) the effects quality are less pristine than I would prefer. They are functional. It would be great if they were not global on each channel but that is not unusual for lower end mixers with fx. 2) the virtual faders are a bit jumpy 3) the patching options are limited so make sure you have the cables it needs. It does not have RCA. All in all, it’s a lot in a very mall footprint and the quality is competitive with analog mixers at the same price point.

My ProDX8 has quickly become my favorite small-format mixer. A couple of suggestions though: 1. The mixer seems more feedback prone in the same system than the one it replaced. I suspect the wide-gain pre-amps (which work fine otherwise). It would seem reasonable to have an automated feedback destroyer built in. 2. The app only runs in landscape mode, even on the iPad. If you run your music software in portrait mode then this means you cannot use the iPad’s task switching feature. Annoying. Give use portrait mode on the iPad please.
