User Reviews

Users praise LumaFusion for its powerful, feature-rich iOS editing and strong export options, plus the appeal of a one-time purchase and mobile editing on a pocket device. However, recurring issues center on stability and performance bugs after 4.0, including playback glitches and scrubbing problems. Pricing concerns are frequent, with many features gated behind subscriptions and some feeling the price is too high. The UI is often described as non-intuitive with a steep learning curve. Overall, performance and pricing are the main sticking points.
Pros
  • Feature-rich and versatile editing tools for video and audio, with transitions and titles.
  • One-time purchase delivers substantial functionality with no ongoing subscription for core features.
  • Strong mobile editing capability—feels like a professional editor in your pocket on iOS.
  • Solid export options and ability to preserve quality across formats, including YouTube-ready exports.
Cons
  • Recurring performance issues and bugs in recent versions (playback jumps, scrubbing failures, disappearing/doubling play controls).
  • Pricing model relies on subscriptions for additional features, with frequent upsell and perceived costs.
  • Steep learning curve and non-intuitive UI, making it hard to pick up quickly.
  • General price concerns, with some users feeling the app is too expensive or over-priced given feature gating.

buying all your additional functionality you are more expensive than davici resolve which trounces you in features, why cant you just be like blackmagic and offer amazing functionality for free and only have one price for purchasing advanced features.

Great to get back to REAL editing, just like my days on a MOVIOLA!

I’ve been on this app since the dawn of its birth. Been through the ups (many) and downs (too many). I have a clients project trapped in this program and cannot export it for the life of me. Enough space. Same camera but does not export without giving me a fuss. I have tried a different quality, a different resolution. Everything and now I’m at the point we’re I may have to return their money due to me not able to export a FINISHED VIDEO. All apps are close, enough space, nothing makes sense. There is a bug that has doomed this fantastic app for me to take this serious. PRO RES and Apple Log are dicey and may not play well. Constant freezing while payback is ridiculous on an iPhone 15 max Pro. I will change this review once this is resolved. Till then, I may have to start this whole project all over on a different platform. (RESOLVED)
