I can’t write in Urdu but can write Hindi fluently. My father was well-versed in Urdu and did much of his correspondence in Urdu. It’s from him that I picked up many words of Urdu and, I’m glad, they still are ‘alive’. मेरे लिए तो यह साइट एक बहुत ही मुफीद चीज साबित हुई - एक गजरे हुए वक्त मे झांकने का झरोखा है - एक एनसाइक्लोपीडिया का काम करती है। मैं लाहौर भी कई दफ़ा गया हूँ परंतु “वह” उर्दू वहाँ भी अब कम ही सुनाई देती है। बदलते वक़्तों का तक़ाज़ा है। आप इस साइट को अन्त तक चालू रखिएगा।बहुतों को इससे फ़ायदा होगा।
