Baby's Days

Our childminder uses this app for the children she watches, but this is the most unintuitive piece of software I’ve used in a long time. User experience is awful - think web development from 2004 - data are hard to find, and it just seems like the developers don’t care one bit about the parents who are using it. The last update also seems to have turned off or removed a number of features that we actually enjoyed from the app - the clunky calendar you would see that indicated if there was an entry for a given day is gone along with the delightful write up our childminder would provide. Instead we can find (with some difficulty) low resolution photos and diaper change information, but forget the personal information that used to be there - it’s gone. We reached out to the developers about the missing data and we were told that they do not support parents - only Childminders - and also that they have no intention to make further updates to the apps’ features. So there is nothin we can do to recover the six months of diary notes for our daughter (other than hope our child minder can provide them to us).

I have been using this app for about six months or so and it has always had its quirks (like not allowing a photo download for example). But recently the app was completely re-done without any warning. Months of memories and notes from our childminder about my daughter are no longer accessible to me...and the simple ability to look at a day on a calendar and see an overview for all entries for that day is now gone. This is worthless now - it went from being a diary of memories to a cumbersome app that tries to measure everything and succeeds at doing none of it right. Avoid!
