Relight - Better Photos

Photo correction and HDR

Features & Capabilities

Relight is a realtime HDR app that corrects lighting and exposure across eight modes, adding artistic HDR effects and detail enhancement. It uses single-image HDR tone mapping so you can preview the effect in-camera before you snap, helping you capture HDR photos without missing a moment.

Relight also brings HDR to your videos, supports loading from Camera Roll and other albums, and offers 50+ color presets to make every shot stand out. Share creations to Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, export in TIFF and other formats, and capture live 1080p HDR video on supported devices.

User Reviews

Users praise Relight for deep, adjustable editing tools, real time previews, and presets that fix dark photos. The interface is easy and enjoyable, with creative modes like Fog and Overexposure. Common concerns include stability issues, especially with video editing, plus compatibility on newer iOS devices, a missing auto option, and a perceived drop in value after the price increase. Overall, a powerful fixer for photos, but reliability and ongoing support are notable worries.
Pros
  • Powerful, versatile editing with adjustable tweak strength and real-time previews.
  • Effective for brightening dark/low-light photos with presets for many situations.
  • Intuitive, beautiful interface that is easy to use with responsive controls.
  • Produces noticeably better photos and can salvage images you’d otherwise toss.
  • Creative presets and modes (e.g., Fog and Overexposure) add useful variety.
Cons
  • Video editing crashes the app; stability issues when editing video.
  • Compatibility issues on newer iOS devices and versions (e.g., iOS 13, XS/Max) where it may not work.
  • No auto option for modes and adjustments.
  • Price increase to five dollars raises value concerns and prompts some to seek free alternatives.
  • Saving/exporting can stall or fail at times.

Many ways to correct or adjust your images, and the strength of every tweak can be adjusted, which is especially useful. Very deep and generous app. Favorite modes are Fog and Overexposure.

This is very useful for when you have to snap a photo quickly in poor lighting. There are presets for all kinds of situations, but I usually just use it to make dark pictures more visible. For the 90% of the time that "good enough" is good enough.

Yet to be able to save a photo because it just continues to load and never actually saves.
