And my THREE star could easily become a ONE star as so far it wont snyc up. Bought it for the gps tracking but the app requires you to complete or at least opt out of a bunch of time wasting questions that are unrelated to my use but instead relate to the fitness tracker. Hey Pitpat !!! At least have enough respect for customers time to build the app in such a way that I’m not forced to answer BS questions that are totally irrelevant to my use. Feels like another one of these companies that thinks they’re oh so clever with Apple like packaging and some iconography and that should somehow make up for a pure lack of common sense.

I really love the form factor of this device and it's Qi charging but devices like this live and die by one feature... to track my lost pet... there's so many other features in the app that I could care less about and the tracking is clunky, slow and not very confidence inspiring. Show me a heat map of history or something while I'm waiting to acquire live tracking... I'll stick with Tractive GPS for now... ping me when the location tracking gets a revamp please! Again, I love the form factor.

With a one year old American Foxhound whose name should be Houdini, my PitPat device and this free app have been the peace of mind I’ve been looking for! When this very active hound escapes our fenced back yard, she loves to go exploring. She’s very friendly towards people and other dogs, but in an area with leash laws, an escape artist dog can present a problem. I’ve used our new PitPat to track her, and the system works pretty well. My back yard is one acre+ The GPS is fairly accurate. She’s always on the move but her tracker “phones home” on a regular basis; on my phone I can see her pop up in another part of the yard! She hasn’t escaped since I put the PitPat on her collar three days ago. But I’m betting that when she does (it’s inevitable) I’ll be able to find her before someone calls the dog catcher! She is microchipped, has a county issued license, and also has an AirTag on her collar. I’m thinking based on my use so far that the PitPat will lead me in the right direction. I won’t have to wonder and drive all the neighborhoods to find her. The device is an investment, but you may get a special code for a price reduction, but you will not have to pay a recurring fee (subscription) to track your best friend, or find her/him. It’s a real plus that you can “share” your dog with your spouse, a friend, or your dog sitter. iPhone or Android—it doesn’t matter. Today, from a different part of my city, I could see my dog at my home on Apple Maps. As a bonus for some real laughs, she has won some badges. She has walked a lap around the Statue of Liberty, walked the length of 5th Ave in NYC, walked all of Rodeo Drive in Hollywood CA. And in three days she completed a marathon! What I’ve learned is that I could really benefit from letting my dog set my activity schedule! So, there it is! In my estimation a PitPat device is excellent, worth the money it costs, and fun. Easy to use, too, once you activate your PitPat and get it “attached” in the technological way to your 4-legged friend! Special note: if your dog goes into someone’s open garage or lies down under a shade tree to go to sleep, your PitPat may not find her/him!
