Citizen: Safety & Live Video

I really like the idea behind the app. Being able to stay informed about what’s happening nearby, rather than just seeing broader county-wide news, makes it genuinely useful. I also like the option to livestream incidents and potentially get paid for contributing. Before posting this review, I have been trying for months to share my feedback with the team. I contacted support via email and also reached out on X and Instagram, but I never received a response. Since I haven’t been able to reach anyone, I wanted to share my feedback here instead. Here are a couple of ideas that I think would improve the experience: 1. Increase the free alert radius from 1 mile to 2 miles, while keeping larger radiuses as a premium benefit. It would make the free experience much more useful while still providing plenty of incentive to subscribe for larger coverage. 2. Be more responsive to user feedback. I understand support teams can be busy, but after trying to reach out for months through multiple channels, it was disappointing not to receive any acknowledgment. Overall, I think Citizen is a great app with a unique purpose and a lot of potential. I genuinely want to see it continue improving, and I hope the team considers feedback like this in future updates.

I don’t know why but this app keeps logging me out. For an app built to be promoting safety you’d think that maybe it’ll allow people to use it without an account. Over the past year I had to log in or sign up I don’t do anything to get banned but it keeps logging me out and I don’t feel like having to run laps logging in signing up again and again.
