I think some of the raters do not know how to use the system. One star means pathetic app. Five star means great app. But when you read the reviews you see that some of the people had it backwards. This app does not work properly. I’ve been tracking my blood pressure with the Apple health app for the past several months. None of that data has transferred from Apple health to this app. Even though I have connected and reconnected several times. As for my Apple Watch, I don’t even see it as a choice for connecting as a device. It would be a useful app if it worked as advertised.

This app operates under the old assumption that the only way to improve health is to; increase steps and distance and or reduce calories.
Tons of new and not so new data suggest that strength training and weight lifting offer health benefits that far out weigh (no pun intended) those that are achieved by Long Slow Distance training such as walking, jogging and etc.
The concept of caloric reduction is also equally out of date. The need for a reduction of caloric intake indicates that a subjects activity levels have decreased to a point that their current eating habits are providing an excess of energy which is not being used but is being stored as body fat that in turn is creating unhealthy conditions within the body.
Someone who is training for strength, needs to increase their caloric intake, which in turn provides energy for the lifts, builds muscle and strength and increases recovery economics. As strength increases, so also body fat decreases.
So, to conclude; this app should allow entries and data collection for ‘weight lifted’, ‘time spent lifting’ and anything else related to measuring the benefits of this type of activity.
