Features & Capabilities

Yugipedia Deck Builder is an unofficial companion Chrome extension for Yu-Gi-Oh! that helps you build, test, and share card decks. It features daily card data updates, full support for the Genesys format, point tracking, dedicated filters, and a classic deck tester field for practice. The app keeps card data current on startup so you don’t need to wait for updates.

Key features include smart search with typo tolerance, drag-and-drop deck building, a full Test Field with tokens and shortcuts, automatic banlists across multiple formats, and easy sharing of deck links or text lists. This tool is designed for speed and simplicity and is not affiliated with the official Yu-Gi-Oh! brands.

User Reviews

Overall, the app is praised for its robust offline deck-building and testing capabilities with regular updates, but users repeatedly report ad-related issues (intrusive ads and crashes when removing them) and request Rush Duel content and translations. These recurring concerns appear across multiple reviews and stand out as the main drawbacks.
Pros
  • Robust deck-building and testing features (including 2-player mode for testing matchups).
  • Offline/local card database with fast load times.
  • Active development with regular updates and ongoing card database upkeep.
  • Widely regarded as the best Yu-Gi-Oh deck builder/tester, great for brainstorming and practice with friends.
Cons
  • Intrusive ads and unreliable ad-removal purchases that crash the app.
  • Missing Rush Duel content and English translations; users want Rush Duel cards added.

I used this app years ago back when I first got into yugioh. As the years went on I slightly fell out, but still kept up with stuff like metas and banlists. This app made that easy. Unfortunately over the years this app has become a shell of itself. In my opinion the UI is ugly and incredibly awful to interact with. The app as a whole just feels strange and soulless. As far as I can remember there was never any adds like there is today. Overall I now avoid using this app as much as possible and only keep it because I haven’t found a decent alternative.

WHY dont we have the different art styles of Certain cards?

I used this before and I was wondering when we would get a Rush duel version with English translation to use it for dueling. It would really be fun to have a rush duel without having to search up translation
