DronePan is free, open source, and makes it easy to capture panorama photos with your DJI Inspire1, Phantom 3, Phantom 4, Phantom 4 Pro, Mavic Pro, Spark and iOS Device. You can use the live FPV screen to fly to the appropriate altitude, frame your shot, and DronePan takes care of the rest. DronePan will take photos at the necessary yaw and pitch with your aircraft. The process takes less than 3 minutes to complete and you can then fly to another location to begin another panorama.

Keep your DJI drone within line of sight when using DronePan.

When you land your photos are ready to be stitched together with your favorite panorama stitching program. We highly recommend using PTGui or AutoPano Pro.

However, recurring issues dominate: crashes during capture, incomplete panoramas, and occasional loss of drone control. Many reports also call for better Mavic Pro support and other model compatibility, plus gimbal errors and some interface quirks. When it runs smoothly, it delivers reliable panoramas for Phantom and P3 series; otherwise, reliability is inconsistent. The app is valued for its core function and zero-cost access, but needs stability and broader device support.
