I don’t know what exactly Happened, but I can’t even get the app to open anymore. Used to be able to stream what was playing live and it was great. now I can’t even get the app to open. I even tried removing it and then re-downloading it.

I’ve been a loyal Lightning 100 app listener for 3 years, ever since moving outside the Nashville broadcast area. The recent update has broken the core function: streaming. The app now forces you through an account registration screen before you can listen. The “skip” option is buried below the signup form - a classic dark pattern that pressures users into creating an account. Worse, the skip button is actually broken, so there’s no way to bypass registration even if you want to. Additionally, you have to opt out of the auto-enabled notifications from the start instead of opting in yourself. For a station that brands itself as independent, this app now feels like it was handed off to someone optimizing for data collection instead of listeners. Please fix the skip button and stop hiding it - some of us just want to stream the radio.
