User Reviews

ETA SPOT is plagued by unreliable real-time tracking, memory/selection persistence issues, and a clunky UI that’s not well-optimized for iPhone. Many reviews cite missing or outdated schedules and a lack of essential features like a trip planner. Performance tends to lag and maps can be hard to use. While it can provide times and location data and may help in campuses, the overall experience is inconsistent and often frustrating for users relying on timely transit information.
Pros
  • Provides bus times and live location information to help plan trips when the app works.
  • When it functions, it covers most user needs and keeps users informed about schedules and stops.
  • Has been used by students as a campus transit reference.
Cons
  • Real-time tracking is unreliable and frequently inaccurate, with buses appearing far from their actual location or updates lagging.
  • The app does not remember your selected agency or route; you must reselect each time and there’s no easy way to save favorites.
  • The UI/UX is poorly designed and not well optimized for iPhone screens, making navigation clumsy and frustrating.
  • Missing essential features and unreliable schedules; lacks a trip planner and often provides incomplete or outdated route information.
  • Performance issues like lag and slow loading, plus subpar map visuals and interactions (ugly maps, zoom issues, top screen accessibility).

if you’re having an issue with this app, you can most likely use Google maps instead. I use Google Maps for my bus routes in Charlottesville, Virginia and it has all the information necessary. I couldn’t figure out how to use this app and I am rather computer savvy.

Update it so it fits the screen. Looks like it zoomed in and doesn’t fit a smartphones design language with empty space

I use the route 3 bus line in Loveland. The GPS tracking for that bus is never turned on so you can never see where the bus is located.
