User Reviews

AppClose is valued by some users for its role in court-ordered co-parent communication and for features like printing messages and video calls, plus basic logging of conversations. However, most reviews cite serious reliability issues (messages/calls/notifications), a costly and opaque subscription model with iPayou limits, and poor customer support. Additional concerns include notification UI quirks and calendar/transaction limitations. Overall, reliability and support are the dominant negatives that offset potential benefits for users relying on the app for legal/co-parenting needs.
Pros
  • Effective for co-parent communication, especially when court-ordered.
  • Features like printing messages and making video calls.
  • Useful for logging conversations (communication history).
Cons
  • Frequent reliability issues: messages and calls often don’t work, with delayed or missing notifications.
  • Mandatory pricing model: monthly/yearly subscriptions with perceived limited value and iPayou transaction limits.
  • Poor or slow customer support, with many reports of unhelpful or unresponsive help.
  • UX/feature problems like generic notification banners and calendar/transaction limitations.

Horrible app, and even worse customer support. I’ve been having a bug issue for over a month, related to notifications. I contacted AppClose directly for customer support. After providing them with all relevant info that they asked for, the issue has still not been resolved. I followed up with them, and all I received is a canned, generic response. No resolution or update to my issue, even though they promise to “fix any issues right away”, as explained in the App Store. I don’t understand the delay or the lack of customer support. Here is the canned, generic response I received: “We sincerely apologize for the delay in providing a solution. We understand the inconvenience this has caused and are actively working to resolve the issue.” Translation: We don’t care about the issues you’re experiencing, and are unable to provide a resolution. We do not value you as a customer. Looking at other customer reviews, there seems to be a common theme. Too many bugs, not enough support. My advice, if you are a parent looking for a co-parenting app, especially if it’s going to be court-ordered, look elsewhere. Recommend a different app to be used with the court, citing that AppClose has too many bugs and does not provide adequate customer support. Buyers beware! It seems this company bit off more than it can chew.

Issue clearing notifications. Support is non existent. Probably will get a response it’s my device not the app and hundred of thousands people use it with no issues. Read the comments… They don’t care about the user, it’s a money grab. Uninstall reinstall doesn’t help. No bulk notification clear all button. Development request ignored and instead you get a response we are the #1 app ordered by courts. Dishonest business model if ask me. Make it free, give it to everyone, get it court ordered. Once we get enough users of the free product hit them with a price tag because guess what? A huge chunk of the user base is locked in by court order. Which explains why they don’t care about the end user. They say they work with low income families and throw out random #s of discounts gave with no data to back it. Anyway if someone has the option to read reviews on App Close before they are court order, I would suggest exploring other options. The price for this app is basically what the other apps charge.
