User Reviews

The app is praised for its clean interface and usefulness in vitals tracking, particularly for neonatal/pediatric care, and has a track record of long-term use. However, widespread issues with Apple Watch compatibility on newer models, reliability of pulse readings, and missing timer options dominate user feedback. Occasional glitches and concerns about Pro features further hinder adoption. The top priority is updating compatibility with new Apple Watch models and restoring feature parity (e.g., timers) to regain trust.
Pros
  • Simple, user-friendly interface that clinicians can navigate quickly.
  • Helps clinicians collect vitals accurately and notice small changes fast, especially in neonatal/pediatric patients.
  • Longstanding, trusted tool used by healthcare professionals since 2013, with ongoing usefulness in patient monitoring.
Cons
  • Major Apple Watch compatibility issues on newer models (Series 9/SE/Ultra) with the app often unable to download, launch, or run.
  • Pulse readings on the app are frequently inaccurate compared with manual counting.
  • Timer features are missing or problematic, notably the removal of the 15-second timer and requests for a 6-second option.
  • Frequent glitches or crashes on the Apple Watch, requiring multiple attempts to open or use.
  • Some users report Pro features do not work as advertised or that the app is not keeping up with watch updates.
Recent reviews
App has a nice interface and is fairly simple to use but lacks helpful features. A 6 second option would be nice as well as a vibration feature that goes off when the timer does, the option to change a normal HR and RR range for people working in veterinary environments, and a hands free timer only with a calculator.

Used since I think 2013…today I’m citing it as one of the first apps that have helped me get accurate data and note small changes more quickly in my patient.
