User Reviews

Users praise Dental Drugs as a useful, dentist-friendly drug reference that supports quick lookups and prescription writing. The dominant negative theme is the sudden switch from free access to a paid subscription, including lack of notice and region- or store-based payment obstacles. Despite its continued usefulness, many reviews express frustration with the paywall and seek a non-subscription option or broader regional accessibility.
Pros
  • Very useful resource for dental medications and drug information.
  • Easy to use with a simple, straightforward layout.
  • Helpful for writing prescriptions and recalling hard-to-remember details, including uncommon meds.
  • Valuable reference for clinicians and dental assistants in daily practice.
Cons
  • Abrupt shift to a paid subscription (monthly/yearly) after many years of free use, with little or no prior notice.
  • Subscription/paywall model and desire for a one-time purchase; many users would prefer lifetime access.
  • App Store payment and regional access issues (country restrictions, currency limitations) that prevent or complicate payment.
  • Perceived value loss and dissatisfaction tied to the price increase and paywall (described by some as greedy or dishonest).

I used to use this app all of the time. I loved it. I downloaded the update and now you have to pay a monthly fee for certain scripts. Unfortunate as I found it easy to use. Good thing I have a cheap and more comprehensive manual for any scripts I need to write that I can’t remember specific info on

It was very good and free, then it got updated to paid version. It’s okay, I want to support, but not with a monthly subscription.
