User Reviews

Overall, users value the decision tree and quick, portable reference for differential diagnosis, study use, and sessions. Yet repeated issues dampen the view: it does not provide full DSM-5 diagnostic criteria or comprehensive coverage, content may be limited or outdated, pricing and billing concerns are common, the UI/navigation can be awkward, and DSM-5 codes are missing. These factors divide opinion, making it helpful for some as a quick reference but not a complete or reliable diagnostic resource for professionals.
Pros
  • Decision tree is a standout feature that many reviewers praise.
  • The app is convenient and portable, reducing the need to carry the DSM-5 book and supports quick references during sessions.
  • Easy to use and helpful for students/new clinicians, saving time on studying and differential diagnoses.
  • Often viewed as more practical than some competing apps and a useful quick reference in practice.
  • Provides quick access to DSM-5 criteria and billing codes during client encounters (quick reference).
Cons
  • Does not include full DSM-5 diagnostic criteria; focuses on differential diagnoses only.
  • Content is not comprehensive and may be outdated; limited decision trees and disorders.
  • High price and perceived low value; some reviews describe it as scam or want refunds; subscription/billing confusion.
  • UI/UX/navigation issues; outdated interface, difficult to navigate to the decision tree, requests for dark mode, login/setup friction.
  • No DSM-5 codes included; only ICD-10 codes present, requiring extra steps to obtain DSM-5 codes.

Such a helpful tool, and love that there’s a desktop app as well. The decision tree is such a great feature, though I wish navigating to it was a bit cleaner. Either way, a perfect resource for any mental health care provider.

I’m currently in my PsyD program and I’ve been using this app as a study tool and resource for helping with differential diagnoses. I used to go through the DSM and go through all of the differentials for disorders I consider, but this has saved me a lot of time. And TIME is something a grad student always needs more of!
