User Reviews

Users like the concept and some visual/projection aspects, but the app is hampered by reliability and navigation problems, a confusing UI, and inconsistent location/scheduling information. Improvements needed include fixing audio/server issues, accurate location data with directions, a cleaner interface, and clearer communications about closures and timings.
Pros
  • Innovative walking-tour concept that combines projections with a narrative experience.
  • Impressive projections and visuals that create an immersive feel when the system works.
  • Curated content that is interesting and adds educational value to the tour.
  • Immersive experience at stops, with potential to be enjoyable even in challenging conditions (e.g., cold weather).
Cons
  • Frequent reliability issues such as server errors and audio not playing, making the app frustrating to use.
  • Location data accuracy and navigation problems (inaccurate pins, no clear directions or addresses, poor map interaction).
  • Usability and interface problems (slow performance, confusing UI, numerous warnings/popups).
  • Inconsistent information about which locations are open and when, indicating poor communication and scheduling updates.

What a cool idea! If only there were more than a few projections working and the app was functional. Half of the time we arrived only to be told the Google play wasn’t working. The other half we couldn’t get the audio to play. We gave up after four.

Tried the app out when visiting Montreal but it didn’t work for myself or the rest of my family. Kept saying “server error” every time I clicked on anything and I couldn’t see any projections. I wouldn’t trust the app at all and needs a lot of work.

First, the website listed only 3 locations that weren’t open, but when you open the app at least half of them aren’t available. Then, it says sunset, but once we got to our first location, it actually started 40 min after sunset. So we waited. In the cold. Finally it hit the time, but the app didn’t work. It kept synchronizing for us and all the people around us for over 15 minutes. So, we gave up and walked to a second location, where it did the same thing before finally alerting us that there is a server error. Which isn’t noted anywhere on their website or anywhere you can look before actually showing up to the location. It seems like such a cool thing to do, but there needs to be better communication when things are closed or not working. And there needs to be clear times posted on the website other than just saying sunset.
