What is hoopla Extension?
The 'Hoopla Extension' is a nifty Chrome add-on that connects Amazon with your library and Hoopla Digital. By using this extension, users can easily match titles found on Amazon with those available for free at their local library or on Hoopla Digital. The data matches are displayed directly on the Amazon webpage itself, serving as a reminder of the resources users have at their disposal through their library. A library card from a participating institution and a free Hoopla account are necessary for use.

User reviews
Worked great for several years, but hasn't worked in quite some time. At some point, it logged me out., and when I try to log in, nothing happens. Sure would like it if the extension was fixed.
Actually, it worked well for a couple of months . . . and then it quit working. Ugh. Tried to remove it and reinstall . . . nothing.
This looks to work pretty well. I have no issues with the extention or the hoopla service itself. However, I am in an interesting position with an older iPhone (which will not allow install) and a chromebook currently with no WIFI at home. This means that I cannot use the service at home, as far as I can tell I cannot download the books and read them offline. I understand that you cannot download on chrome OS to read offline, and this means that it is not very convenient. Hope that they consider this in the future (downloading on an OS). I mean Kindle allows reading offline and while that is a paid service there should be some way to prevent unauthorized copying of the books borrowed.
Rated 4 stars for that reason. Would be 5 except for that offline issue
