Recent reviews

As of the most recent update (7/2), this is no longer functional on my Samsung S21 Ultra, as it doesn't display the full height of the app, leaving the first option and the "Generate" button permanently offscreen. I hope this gets fixed soon!

No you do not need permission to access my phone to generate randomized names. Whether or not it works it makes no sense to give anyone access to your phone for this.
