HuKi - Hungarian Hiking App

HuKi is a dedicated hiking app designed for hikers and nature enthusiasts exploring Hungary. Utilizing the Hungarian hiking layer integrated with OpenStreetMap, it offers detailed official trails across major landscapes like Bükk, Mátra, and Balaton. The app supports live location tracking, elevation, and orientation to enhance your hiking experience.

Users can search for places, access the National Blue Trail (OKT) with stamp locations, and receive hike recommendations. HuKi allows GPX file imports for route visualization, altitude profiles, and travel time estimates. Offline mode ensures access to saved trail maps for up to 14 days, while dark mode support enhances usability. As an open-source hobby project, HuKi is continuously improved with community feedback and contributions via GitHub.
