LoyaltyLink Scanner

LoyaltyLink Scanner is the front-desk app for merchant staff using the LoyaltyLink loyalty program. Operators scan a customer's wallet pass at checkout to award points on a purchase, or to redeem accumulated points toward the next purchase.

This app is for merchant staff only. End customers do not need to install it — they join a merchant's loyalty program from a public link and receive their loyalty pass directly to Google Wallet.

What you can do

• Sign in securely with a magic link sent to your operator email by your merchant administrator. No password to remember; sessions stay valid for up to 60 days per device.
• Scan a customer's QR code through the camera, or enter their 12-digit fallback code by hand if the pass is damaged.
• Review the resolved customer's name and current point balance before confirming any transaction.
• Record a purchase amount in HUF and award the corresponding points at the rate configured for your venue.
• Redeem points toward the customer's next purchase, within the per-transaction limits your venue has set.
• Reverse the most recent transaction within a short window when you mistype an amount or scan the wrong customer.
• Keep accepting purchases when the device is briefly offline — queued transactions sync automatically as soon as connectivity returns.

How sign-in works

Your merchant administrator invites your operator email through the LoyaltyLink merchant dashboard. When you launch the scanner you enter that email, tap "Send magic link," and the app waits while you open the link from your inbox. After the link is verified the device is paired and you are signed in. An administrator can revoke a device at any time from the dashboard.

Tenants and access

If your operator email is registered with more than one merchant the app prompts you to choose which venue you are working at when you sign in. You can switch venues from the in-app menu without signing out, provided your administrator has granted access to multiple venues.

Privacy and data

The scanner only handles customer data already managed by your merchant's loyalty program (name, email, current point balance, and transaction history). No customer wallet credentials are stored on the device. All requests are sent over HTTPS to the LoyaltyLink platform. Languages

The interface is available in English and Hungarian. The scanner picks up the operator's preferred language from sign-in; you can change it from the in-app menu.

This app does not include advertising and does not request access to the device's contacts, location, or microphone. The camera permissionis required only for QR-code scanning of customer loyalty passes.
