The story of Cavallino did not begin with the opening of another restaurant, but with the continuation of a family legacy.

It all started in 1987 in Csepel, when the family opened a small espresso bar. Decades later, the dream was born: to turn the former family place into an authentic Italian restaurant where traditions, quality ingredients and the Italian way of life meet.

For us, heritage is not an old memory that just needs to be preserved. We believe that every generation should add something and build on what came before it.

There is a lot of learning, research and passion behind Cavallino. Bálint traveled to Italy to learn the basics of the profession, where pizza and Italian gastronomy were truly born. He studied with Neapolitan pizza masters, then visited producers, cheese factories, ham factories and wineries to get to know the ingredients that make truly special dishes.

For us, the raw material is not a simple ingredient. Behind everything there is a story, a producer and tradition.

Our pizzas are made from real Italian ingredients:

We bring Casa Graziano Parma ham to our guests in a unique way in Hungary. The premium ham almost melts in the mouth when sliced ​​thinly, and with its delicate, slightly sweet taste, it creates perfect harmony on our pizzas.

The Parmigiano Reggiano comes to us whole, and each portion is freshly grated on the dishes. This way, its intense scent and original aroma are preserved.

Our pizzas are made in a wood-fired oven, over a real flame. The high temperature and short baking time give the light, airy dough and special taste that we expect from a traditional Italian pizza.

For our selected pizzas, we use mozzarella di Bufala D.O.P. buffalo mozzarella, which gives our dishes a creamier, richer flavor.

We don't want to just run a pizzeria. We want to create a place where it's good to return. Where a family dinner, a meeting with friends or a simple pizza can become a memory.

Our guests' feedback is our greatest recognition. Some say they even eat the edge of their pizza when we're there, even though they always left it there before. Some came alone at first, and later brought their whole family with them.

We work for these moments every day.
