HTTP Header Plugin Firefox

HTTP Header Plugin

Adds custom HTTP headers to requests based on user-defined rules. Automatically add or modify HTTP request headers based on URL matching rules. Supports contains, wildcard, and regex patterns. All rules are stored locally — no data is transmitted.

Features & Capabilities

"Add HTTP Header" lets you define rules that automatically inject or override HTTP request headers on outgoing network requests.

Features: • Add new headers or override existing ones for matching requests • Three URL matching modes: Contains (simple substring), Wildcard (* and ?), and Regular Expression • Rules take effect immediately — no browser restart needed • Clean options page to add, edit, and delete rules • Privacy policy displayed directly in the Options UI

How it works: The extension listens to outgoing requests via the webRequest API. When a request URL matches one of your configured rules, the specified header is added or updated before the request is sent. All rules are stored in your browser's local storage and never transmitted anywhere.

Is HTTP Header Plugin Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

HTTP Header Plugin requires a few sensitive permissions. Exercise caution before installing.
