User reviews

IMG Inspector is praised for its ability to display images easily on simple directory listing pages, saving users from clicking images one by one. However, multiple users report issues with poor image detection on complex sites, duplicated images at different resolutions, and lack of automation. Suggestions include better link parsing, options to show only the largest image, and improvements like context menu support. Overall, it works well for basic use but has limitations on more complicated webpages.
Pros
  • Effectively displays multiple images on directory listing pages without needing to click individually.
  • Simple and easy to use interface for viewing images on simple web pages.
  • Provides a convenient way to view raw or backup images in one place.
  • Works well for its intended basic functionality.
  • Users appreciate the developer's effort and responsiveness.
Cons
  • Does not work well on complex or non-simple web pages, often failing to detect images.
  • Lacks an option to show only the largest image when multiple resolutions are shown, leading to duplication.
  • Poor link parsing resulting in incomplete image retrieval.
  • No default auto-activation when loading a webpage; requires manual activation.
  • Interface could be more user-friendly with context menu options to expand or collapse image links.
Recent reviews
Works very well for what it is designed to do. Only thing I would like to see added it the ability to show only the largest image of a set instead of having the same image shown multiple times at different resolutions. Kudos to the Dev!

Does exactly what I needed : With many pictures on a website with only directory listings, I can display all the pictures without having to click them one by one.
