I didn't even know I was using it because it just quietly does it's job with no fanfare - the perfect little app!
If it's not working for you, you might need to go enable it because this thing is great

Well it didn't even do that. I still got the request on every website I tried with it.

I also very much appreciate that the extension tells you how to disable the notification prompt without needing the extension. Good extension from good people.
