HKUL Search Assistant is a convenient Chrome extension that allows users to search the HKU Libraries Catalogue directly from any web page without navigating away. It supports seamless searching across HKU's library resources as well as other popular search engines.

For HKU-affiliated users, the extension automatically routes requests through the EZProxy server to ensure authorized access without repeatedly triggering login prompts. Non-affiliated users accessing from non-HKUL sites will not be redirected to the HKUL login, preventing unexpected access issues or payment requests. This tool is ideal for students, researchers, and faculty needing quick and efficient access to HKU library resources while browsing external websites.
