eepytab

eepytab replaces your Microsoft Edge new tab page with a full wallpaper wall pulled live from any subreddit you choose. Every new tab shows a fresh image, along with the time, date, and, if you want it, the current temperature for a location of your choice.

You control what shows up: pick and mix multiple subreddits, sort by relevance, hot, top, or new, and filter by time range from the last hour to all time. An NSFW toggle lets you decide whether adult sources are included, off by default. Reroll to see something else, pin a wallpaper so it stays put across new tabs, or turn on incognito mode to hide the current image and controls entirely for privacy while screen sharing.

Keep a history of everything you have seen, star your favorites so they are never lost even if you clear your history, and dislike wallpapers you never want to see again, eepytab remembers and filters them out of future rolls automatically. Portrait wallpapers are shown in full instead of being cropped, with a softly blurred version of the same image filling the sides, and you can turn this behavior off entirely if you prefer wallpapers to only ever be landscape.

Customize the accent color, background dimming, and choose between a classic top left layout or a large centered clock. Show or hide seconds, switch between 12 and 24 hour time, and decide whether your location is shown next to the temperature or kept private.

Back up and restore your full setup, including favorites, with a simple export and import of a settings file, so you can move your preferences to a new browser or device in a couple of clicks.

eepytab only talks to Reddit's public API to fetch images and to Open-Meteo for weather data. There is no account, no tracking, and no sign in. Your history, favorites, and settings stay stored locally in your own browser.
