Summary

Features:

  1. By default, furigana is automatically added to many common Japanese websites, such as Twitter, Asahi, Wikipedia etc.
  2. The list of rules used by Auto Mode can be customized using CSS selectors and domains.
  3. Users can use their mouse to select areas on any web page to add furigana to.
  4. N5 kanji filter prepared for JLPT learners, these kanji will not be added furigana.
  5. The font size and color of furigana can be freely modified, and toggle the display of furigana.
  6. Optional support for hover mode, only showing furigana when mouseover kanji.

Note: Custom user rules require the use of CSS selectors. Note that program cannot guarantee completely correct word segmentation and kanji pronunciation. This extension code is open source on Github.

Why did you set it to only work on specific sites? Why doesn't it automatically detect kanji in any page so you don't have to manually add rules? Thanks for the response, I'm trying to make it work on youtube titles by adding rules, however it only work temporarily with the add furigana selector, I don't think it would be inaccurate or laggy to just detect japanese kanji characters on webpages. Am I wrong?
