This extensions was broken for a few months and I genuinely considered forking the project and publishing a fixed version myself since it's open source with an MIT license (you can find it on GitHub). Fortunately, it's now fixed as of December 2023 (looks like it was just an expired API key). Note to dev: maybe have an option for custom API key config so this extension can live with even less maintenance. This is the best currency conversion extension I've tried (and I've tried 9 different ones back to back since that's the sort of thing I'm into I guess). Unobtrusive and rather well designed UX wise, with the bonus of not having 37 unrelated features and 17 ads on the settings page. You just select a price and get a contextual window listing your configured currencies. The only step-up from here is automatic page-wide conversion but all the ones I've tried so far can't seem to have consistent parsing for the life of them, so this one at least works as intended by having it be on-demand (user selection) by design.
