Reddit Sidebar Toggle Button is a Chrome extension that adds a button to your screen for easily toggling the visibility of the sidebar while browsing Reddit. It provides a more pleasant browsing experience by allowing you to have multiple pages open without the sidebar pushing the text aside. The extension also works with RES (Reddit Enhancement Suite) and can be customized to always keep the button enabled. All source code is available on GitHub.

This add-on adds a minimally intrusive button on your lower right hand screen to toggle the sidebar while browsing Reddit.

This is a good solution for those that like to have multiple pages open, but dislike how the sidebar pushes all of the text to the side. If you ever want to see new announcements that moderators pushed through the sidebar, want to submit something, or simply have the sidebar visible, just click the button again and the sidebar will re-appear as if nothing happened.

By default, the current version disables the button when the sidebar is not taking up too much screen space. However, this setting can be toggled from the "RSTB" tab usually found at the top of the Reddit so that it is on at all times.

Finally! :) The button hovers very discreetly on the bottom right, doesn't interfere, but is always there, when needed – thank you! /EDIT Just found out it only works for me, if I opt out of the new reddit permanently...
