Hash It Out Firefox

Hash It Out

By: Artemy
Stateless, deterministic password generator. Derives unique passwords from a master phrase and the current domain using PBKDF2-SHA256 (600k iterations). Nothing stored, clipboard auto-clears.

Features & Capabilities

Mnemonic simplicity of one master phrase in combo with static salt and extracted domain to derive strong, unique password for the current site using PBKDF2 + HMAC.

Nothing sensitive is stored or synced. Same phrase + same site = same password, every time.

Domains are logged locally only to detect first visits.

Parameters for password generation persist as well as theme choice. Found in "Advanced Settings".

Designed with intention of fluid repeated use for password entry after initial generation, for those trying to decrease reliance on PMs: Open extension via chosen keybind -> type in masterphrase and enter(domain field auto-filled) -> hash output copied to clipboard for 30 seconds.
