Hard Reload Plus Firefox

Hard Reload Plus

Normal reload, hard reload (bypass cache), or clear the entire browser cache and hard reload — from a popup or keyboard shortcut. Fork of 'Empty Cache and Hard Reload' by Khokon M. (MIT).

Features & Capabilities

Brings Chrome's "Empty Cache and Hard Reload" to Firefox and Firefox-based browsers.

Click the toolbar icon for three options:

Normal Reload — standard page reload • Hard Reload — reloads the page bypassing the HTTP cache • Clear ALL Cache & Hard Reload — empties the browser cache, then hard reloads

You can also press Alt+Shift+R to clear the cache and hard reload instantly (rebindable in Manage Extension Shortcuts). A system notification confirms when the cache has been cleared.

Honest note: Firefox's browsingData API cannot clear cache for a single site only, so the third option clears the cache for ALL sites — the button says exactly that.

This extension collects no data whatsoever.

Is Hard Reload Plus Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Hard Reload Plus requires very minimum permissions.

Risk impact analysis details
