Features & Capabilities

Stop guessing when you can leave. GreytHR Time Tracker reads your attendance swipes directly from GreytHR and gives you a live, second-by-second countdown to your 8-hour
target — right in your browser toolbar.

WHAT IT DOES

The moment you open the popup, you see exactly how many hours and minutes you have worked and how much time remains. The timer runs locally every second — no waiting, no refreshing. When you hit 8 hours, it tells you.

KEY FEATURES

Live Countdown Timer Your worked hours tick up in real time. The progress ring fills as your day progresses. You always know where you stand.

Exact Leave Time See the precise clock time you can leave to complete 8 hours — updated live as you work.

Break Calculator Planning a lunch break? Enter how many minutes you will take and the extension instantly tells you the adjusted leave time.

Full Swipe History View every IN and OUT punch for today in a clean timeline. Break durations and current session time are calculated automatically.

Floating Overlay Widget A compact, draggable pill sits on top of any webpage showing your worked time and remaining time. Pin it anywhere on screen and keep working — no need to open the popup.

Weekly and Monthly Analytics Bar chart breakdown of daily hours, days present, days absent, average hours per day, and how many hours remain to hit your weekly target. Supports custom date ranges.

Eye Wellness Reminders Configurable notifications remind you to look away from the screen and rest your eyes. Set your own reminder interval. Backed by the 20-20-20 principle.

Hydration Reminders Periodic nudges to drink water during long work sessions. Fully configurable interval or turn it off entirely.

PRIVACY FIRST

GreytHR Time Tracker collects zero data. There is no backend server, no analytics, no telemetry, and nothing is ever transmitted outside your browser. Your attendance data goes from GreytHR's servers directly to your local browser — the extension only reads it to calculate your hours. Everything is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage.

HOW TO SET UP

  1. Install the extension
  2. Open your company's GreytHR portal and log in as usual
  3. Click the extension icon and enter your Employee ID in Settings
  4. The live timer starts immediately
That is it. No account needed. No separate login. Never asked again.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A GreytHR account (provided by your employer)
  • Chrome, Edge, Brave, or any Chromium-based browser

NOTE

This extension is an independent tool built for personal productivity. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to Greytip Software or GreytHR in any way.
