Cannot easily switch between Invidious instances; some instances don't support accounts or have limitations.
Fullscreen mode is problematic: fullscreen button often doesn't work, exiting fullscreen restarts videos, and controls can cover the screen.
Lack of background play functionality, which limits playback when the app is not in foreground.
Performance issues such as lag and slow video loading.
Missing features like SponsorBlock, playlists, and the ability to add or choose specific servers.

Recent reviews

I can't change between instances, and the default instance no longer accepts logging in or signing up. I therefore have no use of the app.

I love the UI! No extra flashy images, etc. The only thing I'd change is adding an easier way to get out of fullscreen than using the phone's back button.. This is not as simple a system as YT. The playback is a little fiddly if you are not familiar with the way Invidious instances work because sometimes a video doesn't play and you'll have to switch instances. Also, some servers don't support accounts. If you are willing to learn a little about this, then I strongly recommend this app!
