KASTOM is an air pollution monitoring system, which provides primary and processed information on air quality, via the internet and a suitable smart phone application, depending on the needs of those interested.

For the detailed description and the air quality forecast, KASTOM combines the following:

3D air quality models (WRF / CAMx)
Innovative models of anthropogenic and natural emissions (MOSESS / NEMO)
Update broadcasts using satellite data,
microsensor networks and,
Computational intelligence methodologies for the qualitative upgrade of measurements and the combined use (fusion) of available information.
