Medicaments.gouv is a barcode or Datamatrix reader, made available free of charge by the Ministry of Social Affairs, Health and Women's Rights, allowing the codes on the boxes of medicines to be scanned to access the file directly information corresponding to the drug scanned in the public drug database. In particular, you will have access to the indications for the medicinal product, its instructions, its prices and reimbursement rates, and, where appropriate, to safety information concerning it.

What is the public drug database?

The public database of medicines allows the general public and healthcare professionals to access data and reference documents on medicines sold in France.
This administrative and scientific database on treatments and the proper use of health products is implemented by the National Agency for the Safety of Medicines and Health Products (ANSM), in conjunction with the High Authority for Health (HAS) ) and Health Insurance, under the aegis of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Health and Women's Rights.
