Google Search Adblocker Firefox

Google Search Adblocker

Removes Google Search Ads.

Features & Capabilities

Google Ads are annoying. I typically like to employee ad blockers, but in some settings I prefer not to, e.g. when doing web development, when I want a clean browser.

However, I still don't want google ads, because I spend a lot of time in development googling things. As a solution, I have hacked together a super simple extension to prevent ads from showing up in google.

This is a barebones google search result adblocker! Please see:

A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Google Search Adblocker requires a few sensitive permissions. Exercise caution before installing.
